CORFO suspends the International Forum on Investment Opportunities in the Salmon ClusterPublished: March 15, 2010
Due the situation in the Biobío and Maule regions after the earthquake that hit the country at the end of February, as well as the suspension of the Aqua Sur International Fair, CORFO's Investment Promotion Division has postponed the International Forum "Chile: Investment Opportunities in the Salmon Industry" until further notice.The activity, scheduled to take place from March 23 to 25, aimed to provide business matching opportunities for ancillary salmon industry companies, and also included visits from industry entrepreneurs including laboratories, research and development centers and veterinary drug companies.
In spite of this specific situation, the Salmon Cluster Investment Promotion Program - part of CORFO's InvestChile program, which focuses on the development of ancillary businesses related to the salmon industry- continues to operate normally, providing year-round resources for foreign entrepreneurs who wish to visit Chile to learn about investment opportunities in the salmon industry.
