The project is focused on internet search engine technologies to improve business operations and optimize the handling of large volumes of data. This lab is Yahoo!'s only research centre in Latin America and one of only two centres outside of the United States.
Yahoo recognizes Chile as a leader in South America in terms of research and computer science.
